Professor McDonnell is a media scholar examining gossip, celebrity, gender, and politics, She is currently co-editing a collection with Adam Silver called A Gossip Politic, forthcoming later this year from Palgrave. And co-author, with Susan Douglas, of Celebrity: A History of Fame, NYU Press.
